Position Overview

Big Fish Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to manage and oversee the engineering aspects of construction and infrastructure projects in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed according to plans and specifications, maintaining high-quality standards, and resolving any technical or logistical issues that arise on-site. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective coordination with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are executed according to approved plans and specifications.

Monitor project progress and ensure that all activities are aligned with the project schedule and budget.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain high-quality standards across all phases of the project.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction works meet the specified standards and project requirements.

Technical Oversight:

Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, including contractors and subcontractors.

Resolve any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the construction process.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government authorities, to ensure smooth project execution.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Review and approve project documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering, with a strong focus on groundworks, earthworks, and excavation projects.

Skills:

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of engineering principles.

Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Salary

AED 20,000 to 25,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
