Role Overview – Medcare Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to join our dynamic clinical team in Dubai. This position requires DHA eligibility/license and a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Department experience. We are looking for skilled emergency nurses who can deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Emergency Nursing Care – You will provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, trauma, and medical emergencies. You will assess patient conditions rapidly, prioritize care based on acuity, implement emergency interventions, administer medications, perform emergency procedures, monitor patient responses, and deliver life-saving care in critical situations.

Patient Assessment and Triage – You will conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments in the emergency setting, perform triage to prioritize patients based on severity and urgency, evaluate vital signs and symptoms, identify life-threatening conditions, categorize patients according to triage protocols, communicate urgency to physicians, and ensure critical patients receive immediate attention.

Critical Care and Emergency Interventions – You will perform emergency interventions including administering IV fluids and medications, managing airways, assisting with intubation, performing CPR and defibrillation, controlling bleeding, managing trauma patients, stabilizing fractures, providing wound care, and executing critical procedures that save lives and stabilize emergency patients.

Medication Administration – You will prepare and administer emergency medications safely and accurately, calculate medication dosages precisely, administer IV medications, emergency drugs, pain management, and resuscitation medications, monitor patient responses to medications, identify adverse reactions, and ensure safe medication administration in high-pressure emergency situations.

Emergency Procedures Assistance – You will assist physicians with emergency procedures including wound suturing, chest tube insertion, central line placement, lumbar punctures, cardioversion, fracture reduction, minor surgeries, and other emergency interventions. You will prepare equipment, position patients, provide procedural support, and ensure patient safety during procedures.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration – You will collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, paramedics, radiologists, laboratory staff, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals. You will coordinate patient care, communicate critical information, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, support seamless care transitions, and work as an effective emergency team member.

Equipment and Technology – You will operate emergency medical equipment including defibrillators, ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, trauma carts, emergency airway equipment, and other specialized devices. You will ensure equipment is functional, perform safety checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain competency with emergency technology.

Infection Control and Safety – You will implement strict infection control measures including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, isolation precautions, safe disposal of sharps and medical waste, and preventing healthcare-associated infections. You will follow safety protocols to protect patients, yourself, and colleagues in the emergency environment.
