Role Overview

Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group is expanding and currently hiring for our Sharjah branches. We're seeking a Receptionist with healthcare experience required who can manage front desk operations, provide excellent patient service, handle appointment scheduling, and support smooth clinic operations in our growing medical facilities.

Front Desk Management

Manage front desk operations by greeting patients warmly, checking in arrivals, verifying patient information, processing registrations, maintaining reception area cleanliness, and creating a welcoming first impression that reflects Shifa Al Jazeera's commitment to patient care.

Appointment Scheduling and Coordination

Handle appointment scheduling and coordination by booking patient appointments, managing doctor calendars, confirming appointments via phone and SMS, rescheduling when needed, optimizing appointment slots, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the day.

Patient Registration and Documentation

Process patient registration and documentation by collecting patient information, updating medical records, maintaining accurate databases, ensuring completion of required forms, verifying insurance details, and maintaining organized patient files.

Phone and Inquiry Management

Manage phone calls and inquiries by answering incoming calls professionally, providing information about services and doctors, addressing patient questions, routing calls appropriately, taking messages, and ensuring timely follow-up on all inquiries.

Insurance Verification and Processing

Handle insurance verification and processing by checking patient insurance eligibility, verifying coverage, obtaining pre-approvals when required, coordinating with insurance providers, and ensuring proper documentation for insurance claims.

Payment Collection and Billing Support

Support payment collection and billing by processing patient payments, issuing receipts, handling cash and card transactions, coordinating with accounts for billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate financial records for reception transactions.

Patient Communication and Follow-Up

Maintain patient communication and follow-up by sending appointment reminders, confirming bookings, following up on missed appointments, coordinating prescription refills, and ensuring patients receive timely information about their care.

Coordination with Medical Staff

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and medical staff by communicating patient arrivals, managing waiting times, prioritizing urgent cases, relaying messages, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Medical Records Management

Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills in English are essential for interacting with patients, coordinating with medical staff, handling phone inquiries, and representing Shifa Al Jazeera professionally. Arabic language skills are highly advantageous for serving our diverse patient base.

Appointment Management Skills

Appointment management skills including calendar coordination, scheduling optimization, handling cancellations and rescheduling, managing multiple doctor schedules, and ensuring efficient patient flow.

Computer and System Proficiency

Proficiency with computer systems, medical software, appointment booking systems, electronic health records (EHR), and MS Office applications supports efficient management of reception operations and patient information.
