Guildhall, a leading civil construction contractor in Dubai, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to oversee the execution of a major rail infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the construction efforts, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role demands extensive experience in rail infrastructure construction, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Provide hands-on leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to completion.

Lead the project team to deliver construction works efficiently, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Rail Construction Expertise:

Apply comprehensive knowledge of rail infrastructure construction methodologies, with a strong emphasis on large-scale civil works.

Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, construction standards, and safety protocols specific to rail projects.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement the most effective construction practices.

Construction Management:

Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring the work is executed according to design specifications and safety standards.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and the construction workforce to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

Resolve on-site issues promptly and ensure the project remains on track.

Project Management:

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets tailored to the construction phase.

Monitor construction progress against project milestones, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and within the approved budget.

Contractor Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact with the client, stakeholders, and the project consortium, ensuring clear communication and coordination.

Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring their work is synchronized with the overall project plan.

Quality Assurance:

Implement rigorous quality assurance and control measures to ensure all construction activities meet the highest standards.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Financial Oversight:

Oversee project finances, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the integrity and quality of the project.

Team Leadership:

Build and manage a multidisciplinary construction team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, ensuring high performance.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.

Experience:

Minimum 18 years of experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on rail infrastructure projects.

Proven track record of successfully delivering major rail infrastructure projects in a contracting environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of civil construction methodologies, particularly in rail projects.

Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.
