Position Overview:

A Confidential Company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with experience in the construction industry, particularly in commercial or residential projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

Analyze and evaluate construction plans and specifications.

Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare bills of quantities.

Procure and negotiate prices for materials and subcontractors.

Monitor and control project costs and expenses.

Prepare and submit progress payment applications.

Review and assess variations in construction works.

Provide advice on contractual matters and claims.

Conduct site inspections and measurements.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

Professional qualification such as RICS or AIQS.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Experience in the construction industry, preferably in commercial or residential projects.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical ability to conduct site inspections and measurements.

Bilingual (Arabic/English) preferred, with experience in evaluating commercial proposals (Bill of Quantities) and the ability to make recommendations for senior management.

Comfortable participating in tender negotiations and working with MS Excel and Word.
