Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our client-focused team in Riyadh. This role is key to providing expert cost advice and management services to our clients, contributing to the successful delivery of various projects. This is a pre-contract role, reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, and will require you to have substantial experience in pre-contract services, including the preparation of estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Services:

Prepare estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities to support project planning and budgeting.

Provide expert advice to the Client on commercial and contractual issues, including strategies to manage these effectively.

Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates and cost plans, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Procurement:

Advise on procurement strategies that align with the Client’s objectives.

Assemble and seek agreement on long and short tender lists, ensuring a competitive process.

Manage the tender process, including issuing documents, handling contractor queries, and conducting structured tender evaluations.

Prepare tender recommendation reports and contract documents, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.

Cost Management:

Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify potential savings and efficiencies.

Prepare reports on cost variations and project progress, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed.

Utilize cost consultancy expertise to support clients in achieving their project objectives within budget.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar construction-related discipline.

Experience:

A minimum of 8 years of post-degree experience in delivering Cost Management Services.

At least 3 years of experience working in the Gulf region.

Previous experience in a consultancy or end-user client environment.

Demonstrated experience in Cost Plan development and proficiency in Cost X software.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal.

A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and achieving commercial success.

A team player with a positive attitude, capable of working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
