Northcorp is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our interior fit-out projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates and effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

Prepare and submit accurate and timely cost estimates for interior fit-out projects.

Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive quantity take-offs.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for cost estimation.

Cost Management:

Monitor project progress and costs, identifying and addressing potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.

Review and analyze project contracts, identifying and addressing any potential risks or discrepancies.

Participate in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.

Record Keeping:

Prepare and maintain accurate records of project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment expenses.

Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, providing valuable input on cost-related matters.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and ensure compliance with cost and quality standards.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the interior fit-out industry, with a strong track record of successful project cost management.

Skills & Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes specific to interior fit-out projects.

Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools, with the ability to perform accurate take-offs and cost calculations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build effective relationships with project stakeholders and suppliers.

Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost estimation and documentation.

Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.

Certifications:

Professional certification or membership in relevant industry associations is a plus.

Salary:

AED 6,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
