Job Title: QAQC Engineer - Electrical

Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (5+ months extendable)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in MEP projects

Job Description:

We are urgently seeking a QAQC Engineer - Electrical to join our team for a temporary assignment in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of related experience in MEP projects and possess strong quality assurance and quality control skills in electrical works.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.

2. Review electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to identify QAQC requirements and potential issues.

3. Perform material inspections and verification of electrical components and installations.

4. Monitor and document construction activities to identify non-conformities and deviations from approved plans.

5. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address QAQC issues and implement corrective actions.

6. Prepare and maintain QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

7. Participate in project meetings and discussions to provide QAQC updates and recommendations.

8. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning inspections of electrical systems and equipment.

9. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment to prevent damage and deterioration.

10. Assist in the resolution of QAQC-related disputes and conflicts with subcontractors and vendors.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in QAQC roles in MEP projects, with a focus on electrical works.

3. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical construction.

4. Strong knowledge of QAQC principles, processes, and practices.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.

7. Proficiency in MS Office applications and QAQC software/tools.

8. Must be located in Qatar and available to work in Ras Laffan.

9. Valid Qatar driving license is preferred.

10. Fluent in English, Arabic language skills are a plus.
