Duties & Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Officer at Tameem Logistics & Warehousing, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring the best possible cost and quality. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire construction materials and automotive spare parts.

Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers, ensuring the best terms and conditions.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about market trends, pricing, and availability of construction materials and automotive spare parts.

Cost Management: Manage costs effectively, ensuring all purchases are made within the allocated budget and according to supplier validation.

Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

Negotiation: Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals.

Quality Control: Ensure that all purchased products meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.

Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and UAE regulations.

Reporting: Provide regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to management.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of UAE local experience in procurement, with experience in construction and automotive sectors being an advantage.

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Technical Skills: Expert in Microsoft Excel and analytics, with proven knowledge and experience in working with local vendors and suppliers.

Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction materials and automotive spare parts.

License: UAE driving license is an advantage.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in procurement processes.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
