Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee and optimize our procurement operations across our group of companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and market conditions
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance
Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards
Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple business units
Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, spending patterns, and savings achievements
Coordinate with finance department for budget planning and cost control measures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Proven experience in construction/building materials industry
Strong knowledge of UAE market and supplier landscape
Proficient in procurement software and MS Office Suite
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
