Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonology Specialist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with respiratory conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Clinical Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat patients with various respiratory conditions

Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests

Conduct bronchoscopy procedures when indicated

Manage patients with complex respiratory conditions including:

Asthma

COPD

Interstitial lung disease

Sleep disorders

Pulmonary infections

Provide consultation services for inpatient and outpatient cases

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and guidelines

Administrative Responsibilities

Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Contribute to the development of clinical protocols

Engage in continuing medical education activities

Support junior medical staff and respiratory therapists

Participate in on-call rotation as required

Collaborate with other departments for comprehensive patient care

Required Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution

Specialty degree in Pulmonology

Minimum 3 years post-specialty experience in a governmental, semi-governmental, or teaching hospital

Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in Qatar

Strong clinical knowledge and technical skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Experience with electronic medical records systems

Preferred Qualifications

Additional subspecialty training or certifications

Experience in sleep medicine

Research experience and publications

Arabic language proficiency

Experience in teaching or academic settings

Knowledge of JCI standards
