Job Description / Role

Janikin Energy is seeking a highly experienced Project Quality Head to lead quality management for a large-scale Solar PV Project. This full-time, permanent role will be based in the UAE, with the potential for positions also available in Saudi Arabia. The role requires a seasoned professional with substantial experience in quality assurance within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, specifically in the solar energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

Oversee and manage all quality-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, from procurement through to commissioning and start-up.

Implement and maintain quality assurance and control processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Inspection and Testing:

Supervise and coordinate inspection, testing, and calibration processes to ensure all project components meet the required quality standards.

Manage the development and implementation of inspection and test plans, including the documentation and tracking of quality issues.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to quality management systems and procedures, promoting a culture of quality throughout the project team.

Monitor and evaluate project quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

FLAWLESS Initiatives:

Drive the FLAWLESS (First Time Right, Last Time Right, Every Time) initiative across the project, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.

Coordination and Communication:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns and ensure effective communication of quality requirements and standards.

Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality-related issues, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive records of quality activities, inspections, and testing results.

Prepare detailed quality reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

Education: Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Certifications: Relevant certifications from quality management and assurance associations or institutes.

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a similar capacity.

At least 5 years of experience working on EPC solar projects with multi-national consultants is mandatory.

Skills:

Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.

Proven ability to manage quality assurance and control processes effectively in large-scale projects.
