Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Progress Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, tracking percentage completion, schedule performance, baseline variance, and costs.

Project Management: Maintain a register of all projects and ensure up-to-date status.

Health & Safety: Deliver all projects in line with the client's health and safety requirements.

Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors are vetted and approved by the client’s procurement department.

Permitting Compliance: Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with the permitting requirements of the client's electrical safety rules.

Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to confirm work aligns with the scope and schedule.

Schedule Management: Ensure schedules and milestones are in place, and subcontractor invoicing aligns with the schedule.

Resource Management: Monitor that subcontractors are sufficiently resourced to maintain delivery schedules.

Multi-site Management: Manage various projects across multiple sites of varying size and complexity.

Execution Planning: Ensure all works have established execution and safe plans, and subcontractors are performing accordingly.

Budget Management: Manage contract budgets and report status at internal and client-facing meetings.

Client Communication: Be the point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations.

SLA & KPI Adherence: Ensure contractually agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary records are retained.

Essential Criteria

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar position.

Qualifications: Professional project management qualifications or a trade qualification.

Technical Expertise: Detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems in a data centre environment, including Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Battery Banks, ATS/STS Units, PDU Units, Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Suppression Systems (pre-action sprinklers).

Safety Compliance: Understanding of safety code requirements related to providing the service.

Risk Management: Experience in Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures.

Vendor Management: Ability to manage and monitor outsourced support and projects.

Project Management: Experience in Project Management principles and delivering data centre project upgrade works.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, and subcontractors.

Leadership: Strong motivational and influencing skills with high levels of personal integrity.

Problem-Solving: Ability to communicate technical and business problems in a non-technical manner.

Deadline Management: Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel and work abroad as required.
