Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Leader to join Kuwait's largest petrochemical company. The role involves leading and managing complex projects in the petrochemical sector, ensuring successful delivery while adhering to company methodologies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Lead and manage internal and external project teams

Oversee contractor relationships and performance

Ensure project delivery within defined parameters:

Scope

Cost

Quality

Time

Implement and maintain company project methodologies

Team Leadership

Facilitate effective collaboration between internal and external teams

Manage resource allocation and optimization

Provide guidance and direction to project team members

Foster positive working relationships with stakeholders

Technical Oversight

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Monitor project technical specifications and requirements

Coordinate with technical teams to resolve engineering challenges

Oversee quality control processes

Strategic Planning

Develop and maintain project execution strategies

Identify and mitigate project risks

Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions

Ensure alignment with company objectives

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (must be approved by Kuwait Society of Engineers)

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Additional relevant certifications are advantageous

Experience

Minimum 12 years' experience in Project Management

Specific experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industries

Proven track record of successful project delivery

Experience working in Kuwait or GCC region preferred

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of petrochemical industry processes

Proficiency in project management software and tools

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Risk management expertise

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
