Job Overview:

The Project Engineer at AIMS HR plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and managing engineering projects. Reporting to the Project Manager or Operations Manager, this role involves providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Engineer will be responsible for aligning teams, managing resources, and acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients to ensure project success.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Define project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with team members.

Lead the site team and coordinate activities to ensure project milestones are met.

Technical Coordination & Documentation:

Coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, addressing any discrepancies through Technical Queries (TQ) and Requests for Information (RFI).

Ensure that only “Fit for Construction” drawings are used on site.

Prepare and submit shop drawings and samples promptly, following up to secure necessary approvals.

Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Work closely with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to prepare and conduct Tool Box Talks before commencing site activities.

Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, proactively addressing potential hazards.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management:

Implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and client expectations.

Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specifications, documenting findings thoroughly.

Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, monitoring and addressing risks proactively.

Resource Allocation & Management:

Allocate necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives within the set budget and schedule.

Coordinate procurement and manage contracts to ensure timely delivery of resources.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations effectively.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to foster project success.

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitor project progress and milestones, providing regular updates and detailed reports to stakeholders and management.

Ensure compliance with construction codes and performance standards, reporting any quality issues to the Project Manager.

Site Supervision & Technical Advisory:

Act as the technical adviser for subcontractors and operatives on-site, providing guidance and support as needed.

Review and verify Labour Supply and Subcontractor bills, ensuring accuracy before countersigning and forwarding them to Project Managers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

5 to 8 years of experience in the UAE, with a strong background in managing engineering projects within the construction industry.

Education:

A Master’s degree in Project Management or a related field is required.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, practices, and site management methodologies relevant to the project scope.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and activities effectively.

Proficiency in project management software, engineering design tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and best practices applicable to the construction industry.

A strong commitment to quality, safety, and environmental stewardship in project execution.
