About the Role:
The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for classical music and arts administration, who thrives in a dynamic and creative environment. As a Program Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of studio activities, musician enhancement programs, and performances. If you are organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to the development of young musicians, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of musicians, faculty, and artists in ANAM’s database.
Schedule and coordinate studio activities, including room bookings and database updates.
Prepare orchestra and musician lists for programs and ensure accurate proofreading.
Organize and deliver musician recitals, including repertoire collation, production requirements, and feedback collection.
Facilitate ANAM competitions and awards, managing applications, adjudication processes, and information distribution.
Oversee Performance Class logistics, including faculty coordination and musician communication.
Assist with program activities, including rehearsals, performances, and musician enhancement initiatives.
Manage travel arrangements for faculty, musicians, and guest artists, including flights, accommodation, and ground transfers.
Create tour itineraries and support documentation as required.
Provide administrative support to the Manager, Training Program, and undertake other duties as needed.
Selection Requirements:
A degree or demonstrated experience in a classical music environment.
A strong interest in arts administration and a proactive, positive attitude.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written and spoken English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Availability to work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Physical ability to assist with program activities, such as moving chairs and music stands.
Desirable Qualifications:
Formal training in music.
Experience working with young people.
First Aid training.
Other Requirements:
Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
