Job Description
Magnet Forensics is looking for a Product Management Lead, Private Sector to shape the next generation of enterprise DFIR capabilities and drive strategic growth across its private sector portfolio. As a global leader in digital investigative software that helps investigators fight crime, protect assets, and guard national security, Magnet Forensics is redefining how enterprise DFIR integrates with modern cybersecurity operations. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with broad exposure, ideal for a product leader who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and delivering measurable results.
In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of a new enterprise DFIR and cybersecurity offering, partnering closely with customers, prospects, and internal teams to define, validate, and deliver solutions that solve real-world challenges and create measurable business impact. You will collaborate with the Director of Product Management and peer PMs to advance Magnet's next-generation platform, defining and driving the product vision, long-term roadmap, and success metrics for your product. You will develop deep expertise in enterprise DFIR, cybersecurity workflows, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends, translate market insights into a differentiated, scalable product offering, and navigate competing priorities by making thoughtful tradeoffs across scope, quality, and timelines. Breaking down ambiguous problem spaces into structured, actionable plans, engaging directly with customers and prospects through virtual conversations, onsite visits, workshops, and discovery sessions, and identifying and tracking critical success metrics for executive and cross-functional stakeholders will round out your day-to-day work. You will collaborate with engineering, UX, and other PMs to ensure experiences are intuitive and consistent, build strong relationships across GTM, customer success, support, and leadership, and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate requirements gathering, user story creation, and specification development. This role involves occasional travel of approximately 5 to 15 percent.
The ideal candidate brings seven to ten years of experience in product management, ideally with enterprise SaaS products. You bring the technical acumen to work closely with engineering teams on cloud-native solution architectures and evaluate tradeoffs across complexity, scalability, and customer value; prior technical experience is a plus. Experience managing products with familiarity in cybersecurity workflows, enterprise security operations, or adjacent security domains is valued, as is prior technical experience. You have an analytical mindset skilled at interpreting market data, customer insights, and usage metrics to drive decisions, strong influence and communication skills across technical teams and executive stakeholders, and an ownership mindset that anticipates challenges and drives momentum across teams. Hands-on experience using AI tools for requirements gathering, user story generation, and specification writing, along with familiarity with prompt engineering, is required. Industry experience in Digital Forensics or hands-on exposure to cybersecurity product, practitioner, or enterprise security workflows is a strong plus, as is experience with Pragmatic Marketing, Design Thinking, Jobs To Be Done, or equivalent frameworks, exposure to AI-driven product management workflows, and experience in Agile development with tools such as Jira, Aha, or Amplitude.
Magnet Forensics takes a hybrid-flexible approach to work, offering generous time off policies, competitive compensation, volunteer opportunities, reward and recognition programmes, employee committees and resource groups, and healthcare and retirement benefits.
Salary:
CAD 150,000 to 200,000 per year (total target compensation for the primary posting location; may vary by location and experience)
