Duties & Responsibilities:

As the Procurement Research Manager at Azizi Developments, you will play a critical role in our procurement operations, particularly those that extend beyond domestic borders. Your expertise in building materials (Civil & MEP), communication, and international procurement practices will be pivotal in steering our procurement strategies towards success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives, focusing on international markets.

Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on global markets to identify potential suppliers, trends, and opportunities in the procurement of building materials, particularly in Civil and MEP sectors.

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with key international suppliers. Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and delivery timelines.

Negotiation: Lead negotiations with international suppliers to secure the best possible terms, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.

Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with international procurement, including geopolitical risks, currency fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.

Data Analysis: Analyze procurement data and market trends to make informed decisions and provide insights to senior management.

Budget Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions for senior management review.

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Candidate Profile:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: At least 15 years of experience in procurement, with a significant focus on international markets.

Success Record: Demonstrable success in managing overseas procurement projects.

Skills:

Strong understanding of building materials (Civil & MEP).

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficient in procurement software and tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations.
