Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have core expertise in flexible packaging, tissue paper manufacturing, wet wipes manufacturing, trade in essential products, and maintenance & spare parts. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure efficient and standardized purchasing practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Procurement Policies, Procedures, and Strategies:

Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and standardized purchasing practices.

Develop procurement strategies to meet the company's goals and objectives, including cost savings and supply chain optimization.

Collaborate with Other Departments:

Closely liaise with the Sales department for customer service/order fulfillment.

Liaise with various departments to identify their purchasing needs and forecast demand.

Coordinate with stakeholders to develop procurement plans and strategies based on their requirements.

Supplier Selection and Contract Negotiation:

Identify potential suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, pricing, delivery, and other relevant factors.

Travel to vendor locations if necessary to assess capabilities, establish relationships, and negotiate contracts.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery options.

Recordkeeping and Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and timely replenishment.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing availability of goods and services.

Address any issues or concerns related to quality, pricing, or delivery with suppliers in a timely manner.

Budget Management and Reporting:

Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on spending, cost savings, and key performance indicators.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Vendor Management and Performance Evaluation:

Develop and implement vendor management programs to monitor and improve supplier performance.

Evaluate vendors based on predefined criteria, such as quality, timeliness, pricing, and customer service.

Purchase Order Processing and Coordination:

Review and process purchase orders in a timely manner.

Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory levels and determine supply needs.

Quality Assurance and Problem Resolution:

Ensure the quality of procured items and address any problems or discrepancies that arise.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.

Stay Informed on Industry Trends and Technology:

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies that may impact the procurement process.

Evaluate and implement procurement technology solutions as needed to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
