Job Description
Procurement Operations | The Procurement Officer plays a critical role in ensuring smooth purchasing operations by sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials essential for offshore and marine engineering projects. This role demands precision, accountability, and a deep understanding of supply chain workflows in a fast-moving technical environment.
Supplier & Market Coordination | The role requires continuous interaction with suppliers to build long-term partnerships while closely monitoring market trends, cost fluctuations, and availability of materials. The officer must analyze purchasing patterns and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or operational timelines.
Inventory & Stock Control | Managing workshop inventory is a key responsibility, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained at all times. The position focuses on preventing shortages, reducing excess inventory, and coordinating closely with operations teams to align procurement with project demands and maintenance schedules.
Compliance & Quality Assurance | This position ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal company policies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices. The officer is expected to uphold high standards of documentation, ethical sourcing, and quality control throughout the procurement cycle.
Fast-Paced Decision Making | Working in offshore engineering requires the ability to perform under pressure and execute fast-tracked purchasing decisions. The Procurement Officer must respond quickly to urgent requirements while maintaining cost control, supplier reliability, and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration | The role involves close coordination with engineering, finance, and operations departments to support project execution. Strong communication and analytical abilities are essential to align procurement strategies with business objectives and operational priorities.
