Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our civil contracting company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery to support our civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services for civil building projects

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors

Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings

Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts

Track and expedite deliveries to ensure materials arrive at construction sites on time

Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements

Stay updated on market trends and pricing in the construction industry

Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements

Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience in procurement specifically within civil construction building industry

Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and local suppliers in the UAE

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications

Experience in contract management and supplier relationship development

Understanding of supply chain management in construction projects

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Current UAE residency status (must be in UAE)

Available to join immediately (preferred)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
