Job Summary:

Future Tense is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join their team in Al Barsha, Dubai. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the procurement process within the HVAC/MEP contracting industry. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and securing materials and services to meet project requirements while ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

Collaborate closely with project managers to understand material needs, delivery schedules, and budget constraints.

Ensure the timely procurement of materials while maintaining cost controls and quality standards.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends.

Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing issues promptly to ensure compliance.

Supplier and Vendor Coordination:

Work closely with the project team to resolve procurement-related challenges.

Manage and update procurement databases and documentation.

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.

Compliance and Documentation:

Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in procurement activities.

Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier interactions.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience as a Procurement Engineer.

Previous experience in the HVAC/MEP contracting industry in the UAE is essential.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Skills:

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in procurement software and databases.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
