About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Business Controller to join Phoenix Group in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement budgets, optimizing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency across EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive procurement budgets for multiple EPC projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project timelines
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes
Create and maintain financial models to forecast procurement spending, analyze trends, and support decision-making
Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to establish cost control mechanisms and KPIs
Lead supplier negotiations and contract reviews to ensure optimal commercial terms and value for money
Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, budget variances, and cost-saving initiatives
Implement and maintain procurement controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on procurement strategy and cost optimization
Manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement finance or business controlling
Strong background in financial analysis and budget management
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Expertise in ERP systems, particularly MS Dynamics
Proven experience in procurement processes and supplier relationship management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Experience in EPC projects is highly preferred
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
Proficiency in MS Dynamics or similar ERP systems
Strong understanding of procurement workflows and systems
Data analysis and visualization skills
Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards

Results-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
