Position Overview

We are currently seeking a passionate and supportive Primary Assistant Teacher to join our school community. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners while supporting lead teachers in daily classroom activities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping a positive educational experience for students during their foundational years.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the planning and implementation of lessons in line with the school’s curriculum. You will assist in delivering classroom activities, preparing educational materials, and providing individual support to students who need additional guidance. A strong sense of teamwork and collaboration is essential to this role.

Classroom and Student Support

You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and well-organized learning environment, ensuring that students feel safe, engaged, and supported throughout their learning journey. Your day-to-day duties will include monitoring student behavior, guiding class routines, and helping with assessments under the supervision of the lead teacher.

Administrative and Supervisory Duties

The role also involves light administrative support, including maintaining classroom records, preparing teaching aids, and assisting in organizing events or activities. In addition, you may supervise students during non-classroom times, such as lunch breaks, assemblies, or field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, which is a mandatory requirement for this position. Additionally, prior experience in a similar assistant teaching role, especially in a primary school setting, will be highly valued. Familiarity with modern educational practices and a child-centered approach is preferred.
