Role Overview – Neurasol is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer . This remote opportunity based in India is ideal for analytics professionals with 8+ years of experience who possess strong expertise in Power BI and SQL and can design, develop, and maintain insightful dashboards and reports for business intelligence initiatives.

Power BI Dashboard and Report Development – You will design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will create interactive visualizations, implement data storytelling techniques, develop self-service reporting solutions, ensure user-friendly dashboard designs, and build comprehensive reports that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Analysis – You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, conduct requirement gathering sessions, translate business needs into technical specifications, clarify data requirements, propose visualization approaches, gather feedback on reports, and ensure deliverables align with business objectives and user expectations.

SQL Development and Data Extraction – You will write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources. You will develop efficient queries for data retrieval, perform data transformations, join multiple data sources, aggregate and summarize data, optimize query performance, and ensure accurate data extraction that supports robust reporting and analytics.

Data Modeling and Optimization – You will design and optimize data models for Power BI, implement star schema and dimensional modeling techniques, create calculated columns and measures using DAX, establish relationships between tables, optimize data model performance, reduce data refresh times, and ensure data models support efficient and scalable reporting solutions.

Data Quality and Accuracy Management – You will ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards, validate data against source systems, identify and resolve data quality issues, implement data validation rules, conduct quality assurance testing, verify calculation accuracy, and maintain high standards of data reliability in all analytics deliverables.

Performance Tuning and Optimization – You will optimize Power BI report performance, tune SQL queries for efficiency, implement best practices for data modeling, reduce report load times, optimize DAX calculations, manage data refresh schedules effectively, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure reports deliver fast, responsive user experiences.

Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting – You will troubleshoot and resolve report and data-related issues, diagnose technical problems, debug DAX formulas and SQL queries, address user-reported issues, implement fixes promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions for knowledge sharing.

Collaboration and Communication – You will collaborate with offshore and onsite teams, participate in virtual meetings, communicate progress updates regularly, coordinate with data engineers and analysts, share technical knowledge, document development processes, and work effectively in distributed team environments to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.

Data Visualization Best Practices – You will apply data visualization best practices, select appropriate chart types for different data scenarios, design intuitive user interfaces, implement consistent formatting and branding, ensure accessibility of visualizations, create drill-down and interactive features, and deliver visually compelling reports that effectively communicate insights.
