Role Overview – OHDC is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join our team and manage project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex construction and engineering projects while ensuring timely delivery and resource optimization.

Project Planning and Scheduling – You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Creating detailed work breakdown structures, establishing project timelines, and identifying critical paths will be essential aspects of your role.

Progress Monitoring – Monitoring project progress against planned schedules, tracking milestones, and analyzing schedule variances is crucial. You will prepare regular progress reports, identify delays or bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Resource Management – Managing resource allocation, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials will be key responsibilities. You'll work closely with construction managers and project managers to align planning with execution.

Risk Assessment – Identifying potential risks and delays in project execution, conducting schedule risk analysis, and developing contingency plans will be important aspects of your role. Proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking are essential for success.

Coordination and Reporting – Collaborating with stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables. Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for management review and decision-making.
