Project Scheduling & Planning: The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using modern project management tools. This includes defining project timelines, setting key milestones, allocating resources, and coordinating timelines with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time.

Monitoring & Progress Tracking: You will monitor day-to-day progress of all site activities to ensure they align with approved timelines. This involves preparing progress reports, identifying project delays, and recommending practical solutions to keep the schedule on track. You must have a proactive approach in addressing potential bottlenecks.

Coordination with Site Teams: Effective collaboration with site engineers, contractors, and procurement departments is essential to align execution with planning. You will be expected to conduct weekly planning meetings and ensure real-time updates are reflected in all planning documents and schedules.

Resource Allocation: The Planning Engineer will assist in manpower and equipment planning for different phases of construction. You must ensure optimal use of all available resources while minimizing idle time and maximizing productivity on-site.

Risk Identification & Mitigation: Anticipating challenges before they arise is key to success in this role. You’ll be responsible for identifying risks to project timelines and creating contingency plans that reduce project disruption and avoid unnecessary costs.

Cost Control Support: You’ll work closely with cost control and estimation teams to ensure budgeted timelines are feasible and financially sustainable. You’ll contribute insights during tendering and estimation stages by evaluating realistic timelines for each BOQ item.
