Job Description / Role

Janikin Energy is seeking an experienced Planning and Project Control Manager to join their team for a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) client involved in a large-scale Solar PV Project. This full-time, permanent role will be based in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi and requires a strong background in project controls and planning, particularly within the solar energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Control Management:

Lead and oversee all project control activities for the Solar PV project, ensuring that project objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Develop, implement, and manage project control processes and systems to track and report project performance.

Planning and Scheduling:

Utilize Primavera P6 to create and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines for project phases, milestones, and deliverables.

Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues that may affect project completion.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, including progress, performance, and any issues or risks.

Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to project stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Coordination and Communication:

Collaborate with project teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and update stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead a team of project control professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

Ensure the team is effectively managing their responsibilities and contributing to the overall success of the project.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess potential risks to project success, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.

Monitor and report on risk management activities, ensuring that all risks are addressed and managed proactively.

Requirements:

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in project controls and planning, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in solar PV projects of a similar scale and complexity.

Skills: Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is required for scheduling and project control activities.

Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing project controls for large-scale EPC projects, including the ability to handle complex project requirements and challenges.

Education: A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
