Position Overview:

The Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee the inpatient pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice within a hospital setting and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pharmacy Operations Oversight:

Supervise the daily operations of the inpatient pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards.

Oversee the dispensing, compounding, and distribution of medications to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

2. Staff Supervision and Development:

Manage a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff competency and continuous professional development.

3. Medication Management:

Ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications through diligent oversight of medication therapy management.

Monitor and evaluate medication therapy to optimize patient outcomes and minimize adverse effects.

4. Quality Assurance and Safety:

Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure medication safety and quality assurance.

Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.

5. Patient Care Collaboration:

Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure the best possible medication therapy for patients.

Provide direct patient care, including medication counseling and therapy management, as needed.

6. Inventory and Financial Management:

Manage the procurement, storage, and inventory of medications, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Assist in developing and managing the pharmacy budget, monitoring financial performance to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

7. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations and standards.

Stay updated on changes in pharmacy laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, Master’s) preferred.

Valid pharmacy license in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

5-7 years of experience in pharmacy practice, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in an inpatient hospital setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Comprehensive knowledge of medication therapy management and clinical pharmacy services.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
