Position Overview:

The Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the inpatient pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in healthcare management and a proven track record in pharmacy operations within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pharmacy Operations Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the inpatient pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards.

Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.

2. Staff Management:

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.

Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff competency and professional growth.

3. Medication Safety and Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.

Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.

4. Patient Care:

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, and administration of medications.

Provide direct patient care, including medication counseling and therapy management.

5. Financial Management:

Develop and manage the pharmacy budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

6. Compliance and Regulatory:

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations and standards.

Stay updated on changes in pharmacy laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

7. Strategic Planning:

Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance pharmacy services and support the overall mission of ADSCC.

Identify opportunities for service expansion and improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; Master’s degree or PharmD is preferred.

Valid pharmacy license in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

7-10 years of experience in pharmacy management, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent knowledge of medication therapy management and clinical pharmacy services.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
