Job Description
Clinical Pharmacy Services – The Pharmacist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services by accurately reviewing medical prescriptions, validating drug dosages, and ensuring the safe dispensing of medications. This role involves close collaboration with physicians and nurses to support effective treatment plans while maintaining patient safety and therapeutic accuracy at all times.
Patient Counseling and Education – The position requires providing detailed counseling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and storage guidelines. The Pharmacist will ensure patients fully understand their treatment regimens, promoting medication adherence and improving overall health outcomes through clear communication and professional guidance.
Medication Dispensing and Accuracy – The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Strong attention to detail is essential to minimize errors, maintain prescription accuracy, and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical best practices in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Inventory and Stock Management – This role includes monitoring pharmaceutical inventory levels, managing stock rotation, and preventing medication shortages or expirations. The Pharmacist will coordinate with procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels while ensuring proper storage conditions in line with safety and quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety – The Pharmacist will ensure full compliance with local health authority regulations, hospital protocols, and ethical pharmaceutical practices. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, supporting audits, and adhering to infection control and medication safety guidelines across all pharmacy operations.
Interdisciplinary Healthcare Support – Working as part of a multidisciplinary medical team, the Pharmacist will support clinical staff by providing drug-related information, participating in treatment discussions, and contributing to patient care decisions. This collaborative approach helps enhance treatment effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
