Duties & Responsibilities:

King's College Hospital London – UAE is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Endocrinology Outpatient Department (OPD). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric endocrinology and experience in school health services.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the endocrinology OPD, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols.

Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric endocrine disorders.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on managing endocrine conditions, treatment plans, and medication administration.

Collaboration: Work closely with pediatric endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Monitoring: Monitor patient progress, record observations, and adjust care plans as necessary.

Support: Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.

Health Promotion: Participate in health promotion activities, such as diabetes education and healthy lifestyle initiatives.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.

School Health Services: Provide nursing care in a British curriculum school setting, including routine health checks, managing chronic conditions, and responding to medical emergencies.

Collaboration with School Doctor: Work alongside the school doctor to deliver comprehensive health services to students, including health education and vaccination programs.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Relevant nursing qualification from a recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on pediatric endocrinology and school health services.

Licensure: Current nursing license valid in the UAE.

Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills in pediatric endocrinology, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and medication management.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical concepts to patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.

Adaptability: Flexibility to work in both hospital and school settings, adapting to the unique needs of each environment.

Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.
