Job Description

Promoting Physical Education Excellence: The PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging, and inclusive physical education program. This role requires inspiring students to embrace a healthy lifestyle while developing their skills in a variety of sports and fitness activities. Lessons will focus not only on physical competence but also on teamwork, discipline, and personal well-being, ensuring that students understand the importance of physical activity in leading a balanced life.

Curriculum Design & Delivery: You will plan, organize, and execute lessons aligned with the British Curriculum (IGCSE) standards. The program will incorporate a range of sports, fitness exercises, and movement activities suitable for different age groups. Lessons should cater to varying abilities and ensure students are challenged while feeling supported to reach their individual potential.

Student Engagement & Motivation: A successful PE Teacher will create an energetic and encouraging learning atmosphere. You will promote active participation, guide students in understanding the rules and strategies of different sports, and foster respect for fair play and sportsmanship. Motivation will be maintained through creative lesson planning, performance tracking, and celebrating achievements both inside and outside of class.

Assessment & Performance Monitoring: You will be responsible for assessing student performance through practical and theoretical evaluations. Regular feedback will help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Keeping detailed records of progress will also enable effective communication with parents and colleagues.

Facilities & Equipment Management: The PE Teacher will ensure that sports facilities, gymnasiums, and equipment are used safely and maintained to high standards. You will also contribute to planning extracurricular activities such as sports days, competitions, and inter-school tournaments, further enhancing the school’s physical education program.

Collaboration & School Spirit: This role requires working closely with other teachers to integrate wellness and physical education into the broader school experience. Promoting school values through sports events, house competitions, and community engagement activities will be an important part of fostering a vibrant school culture.
