Job Description
About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements for our workforce. This position involves managing the end-to-end payroll process, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with the Wage Protection System (WPS) and labor regulations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling high-volume payroll with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your core duties will include administering monthly salary payouts through WPS, calculating overtime, and managing deductions. You will be responsible for verifying all payroll inputs, ensuring that each employee is compensated accurately based on attendance and performance metrics. Coordination with the HR and Operations teams is critical to ensure incentive and overtime payments are correctly accounted for.
Managing Allowance Systems
Part of your role includes managing Edenred card allowances for staff, which involves regular reporting, balance checks, and uploading funds as per internal schedules. You will also ensure that allowance distribution is in line with company policy and is communicated clearly to the employees.
Attendance and Records Accuracy
To maintain payroll integrity, you will review and reconcile attendance logs and delivery records. You must be meticulous in verifying data before finalizing payroll each month, ensuring no discrepancies arise that could affect employee morale or legal compliance. Accuracy and audit-readiness are critical components of this role.
Employee Support and Query Resolution
You will serve as the first point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from blue-collar staff. This includes explaining salary breakdowns, overtime calculations, deductions, and resolving any disputes promptly and professionally. A patient and service-oriented approach will help maintain trust and transparency among employees.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who have prior experience in payroll processing for a large blue-collar workforce in the UAE. Familiarity with WPS, labor laws, and payroll software is essential. Strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are crucial for success in this position. Previous experience handling Edenred cards or similar staff benefit systems will be a significant advantage.
