Job Description

Payroll Processing and Compliance: As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for over 1000 employees across the UAE. Your role will ensure timely and accurate processing of wages, deductions, reimbursements, and bonuses. You will also need to comply with UAE labor laws and internal policies, ensuring all payments are aligned with government regulations and company standards.

Data Management and Record Keeping: The role demands maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, including leave balances, sick days, overtime, and salary adjustments. You will be expected to work with HR and Finance departments to reconcile monthly payroll data, spot anomalies, and ensure all information is securely archived for audit and legal compliance.

Reporting and Analytics: You will generate monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports, providing insights to the finance team and management. Your data-driven approach will help identify trends, forecast labor costs, and support strategic decisions. A strong understanding of Excel and payroll software will be crucial for success in this area.

Coordination with Internal Departments: A key responsibility of the Payroll Assistant is to liaise with other internal departments such as Human Resources, Finance, and Compliance to ensure payroll inputs like new joiners, resignations, and salary increments are captured accurately and timely. Your ability to collaborate and communicate will help build strong interdepartmental relationships.

Handling Queries and Support: You will act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries, including pay slips, tax calculations, and leave encashment. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential to address these concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.

System and Software Proficiency: You will work with various payroll software systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in systems such as Oracle, SAP, or any popular HRMS platforms. Your technical abilities will help streamline and improve payroll efficiency and reduce manual errors.
