Outpatient (OP) Pharmacist

Job Description

Role Overview – Saudi German Health UAE Ajman is seeking an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and valid MOH pharmacist license or MOH Evaluation. This position is ideal for pharmacists with 2+ years of UAE experience and relevant OP pharmacy experience who possess strong communication and patient-care skills, are Arabic-speaking, with male candidates preferred.

Outpatient Pharmacy Services – You will provide comprehensive outpatient pharmacy services including dispensing medications prescribed to outpatients, ensuring accuracy in medication preparation, verifying prescriptions, counseling patients on proper medication use, and delivering pharmaceutical care that supports patient health outcomes.

Prescription Processing – You will process outpatient prescriptions by reviewing physician orders, verifying dosages and instructions, checking for drug interactions and contraindications, ensuring prescription completeness and appropriateness, and preparing medications accurately for dispensing to patients.

Patient Counseling – You will counsel patients on medication usage, dosage schedules, potential side effects, storage requirements, precautions, and answering questions to ensure patients understand their treatment regimens and can use medications safely and effectively.

Medication Dispensing – You will dispense medications to outpatients accurately, labeling containers properly, providing appropriate quantities, verifying patient identity, ensuring correct medications are provided, and maintaining dispensing records in compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations.

Drug Information Services – You will provide drug information services to patients and healthcare providers, answering questions about medications, therapeutic alternatives, drug interactions, adverse effects, and offering professional pharmaceutical expertise that supports optimal medication therapy.

Inventory Management – You will manage outpatient pharmacy inventory including monitoring stock levels, ordering medications and supplies, receiving shipments, verifying deliveries, organizing storage, ensuring proper rotation, and maintaining adequate inventory to meet patient needs without excessive overstock.

Quality and Safety Compliance – You will ensure compliance with pharmacy quality standards, safety protocols, MOH regulations, hospital policies, and professional pharmacy practice guidelines. Your compliance protects patient safety and maintains regulatory standing.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team – You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, resolve prescription issues, provide pharmaceutical expertise, and ensure coordinated patient care across the healthcare team.

Educational Background – A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required. Your pharmacy education provides the scientific foundation and professional knowledge necessary for clinical pharmacy practice and patient care.

MOH License or Evaluation – Valid MOH (Ministry of Health) pharmacist license or MOH Evaluation is mandatory. Proper licensing ensures you meet regulatory requirements for practicing pharmacy in the UAE.

UAE Experience – UAE experience is preferred, with 2+ years being the preferred qualification. UAE pharmacy experience demonstrates familiarity with local healthcare system, regulations, patient populations, and practice standards.
