Job Overview: Core Engineering Consultancy is currently hiring an experienced OSH Officer for its projects in Al Ain, UAE. The role is dedicated to ensuring strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health guidelines, particularly under OSHAD frameworks. The OSH Officer will play a crucial part in promoting a safe working culture, developing health and safety protocols, and ensuring employees adhere to all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing safety programs, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with UAE safety regulations. Responsibilities will also include hazard identification, risk assessments, and ensuring safe working conditions across multiple project sites. The OSH Officer will be the focal point for implementing preventive measures and responding to any potential safety risks promptly.

Safety Leadership: This role requires taking an active leadership position in building awareness among employees and contractors regarding workplace safety. The OSH Officer will conduct training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops to create a culture of proactive safety practices. The ability to guide teams during audits and inspections is essential for ensuring ongoing compliance.

Compliance & Documentation: A significant part of the role will involve maintaining comprehensive documentation, including safety reports, incident logs, inspection checklists, and training records. The officer will ensure compliance with OSHAD standards, NEBOSH guidelines, and ISO frameworks, keeping the company fully aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Risk Management: The OSH Officer will work closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to assess risks associated with infrastructure projects. By proactively monitoring operations, the officer will implement corrective actions where necessary, ensuring all employees work in a safe and secure environment without compromising project efficiency.

Candidate Profile: We are seeking a professional with at least 8 years of experience in occupational safety roles, ideally within engineering consultancy projects. Candidates must hold certifications such as OSHAD Practitioner and NEBOSH IGC, along with in-depth knowledge of UAE health and safety legislation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are required to succeed in this role.
