Overview:

Seekers HR is looking for a dedicated Operations Executive to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing port operations, specifically in Jebel Ali and Khalifa Ports. This role involves overseeing equipment availability, transshipment planning, and ensuring seamless coordination between various stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Equipment Monitoring:

Monitor equipment availability at Jebel Ali and Khalifa Ports to ensure sufficient containers for export bookings.

Monitor FIFO activities at both ports to avoid storage charges to the Line.

Transshipment Planning:

Plan transshipments for Mother Vessel outbound containers and RORO cargo on feeder vessels.

Check with Feeder Operators regarding spot rate offers for volume cargo.

Obtain Feeder Operator approval for Head Office inquiries regarding IMCO, RORO, and OOG cargo.

Empty Repositioning:

Check regional requirements and plan empty repositioning accordingly with surplus stock.

Maintain statistical reports for outbound and inbound containers and RORO cargo through feeder vessels.

System Updates:

Update Feeder Vessel details in the feeder manager system to interlink the COARRI file between port and Messina portal.

Customer Coordination:

Coordinate with export customers for their inquiries.

Prepare and submit booking forecasts (10, 7, 5, 3 days and final) to the Manager.

Documentation and Reporting:

Submit Mother Vessel load list and discharge list for containers.

Prepare CSV files for loading containers and RORO units on Mother Vessel and submit to Messina Head Office for stowage planning.

Prepare final booking with freight report after the sailing of Mother Vessel and submit to the Manager.

Communication and Coordination:

Coordinate with Head Office and other Messina agents for their inquiries.

Follow up with port for disputed invoices and obtain credit notes for principal approval.

Vessel Operations:

Handle vessel operations when the vessel is at the port.

Manage immigration at the port during vessel operations.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in port operations, specifically in Jebel Ali and Khalifa Ports.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Strong understanding of port equipment availability and transshipment planning.

Excellent coordination and communication skills to handle customer inquiries and inter-departmental coordination.

Proficient in maintaining statistical reports and preparing booking forecasts.

Ability to manage vessel operations and handle immigration at the port.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using relevant software systems for operational updates and documentation.
