Operational Risk Management Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Management Analyst to join our banking team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational risk management frameworks and methodologies

Conduct risk assessments and analyze potential operational risks across various business units

Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk metrics

Support the implementation and maintenance of business continuity management programs

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess emerging risks

Prepare comprehensive risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies

Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations and Basel requirements

Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures

Support internal audit processes and risk-related initiatives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field

2-3 years of banking experience with 1-2 years specifically in Operational Risk Management, internal audit, or risk consultancy

Professional certification(s) in Risk Management, Audit, or Business Continuity

Demonstrated experience in business continuity management

Strong understanding of BASEL framework and CBUAE regulations

Knowledge of banking operations, financial management, and risk assessment methodologies

Technical Skills

Proficiency in risk management tools and systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Experience with risk reporting and documentation

Understanding of banking systems and operations

Personal Competencies

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Professional interpersonal skills and balanced personality

High level of commitment and responsibility

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
