Position Overview

International Modern Hospital in Dubai is seeking experienced Operating Theater and Recovery Nurses to join our surgical team. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures and post-operative recovery periods.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain operating theater environment according to hospital protocols and standards

Assist surgeons during procedures and anticipate their needs during operations

Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery

Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor patient recovery

Assess and monitor patient pain levels and administer prescribed medications

Document patient care information, surgical procedures, and recovery progress

Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure smooth operation workflow

Maintain sterile environment and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments

Provide emotional support and information to patients and their families

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of best practices

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Valid DHA license or eligibility for DHA licensing

Minimum 2 years of experience in operating theater/recovery nursing

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and post-operative care

Experience with electronic medical records systems

Technical Skills

Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and patient assessment

Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment

Understanding of infection control protocols

Competency in emergency response procedures

Strong documentation and reporting abilities

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good physical stamina for long hours of standing

Ability to work in shifts including nights and weekends

Cultural sensitivity and awareness
