Job Description

Job Overview: The Office Assistant / Office Boy will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office environment while providing essential support to staff and guests. This role is ideal for a dedicated and reliable individual who can ensure the smooth day-to-day running of office operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, punctuality, and a positive attitude, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere for both employees and visitors.

Daily Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing office areas, meeting rooms, and restrooms. In addition, the Office Assistant will ensure that all workspaces remain tidy, supplies are well-stocked, and office facilities are in proper working condition. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas will be a key responsibility.

Guest Services: The Office Assistant / Office Boy will also assist in serving refreshments to staff and visitors during meetings and office hours. They will handle tea, coffee, and water service efficiently and courteously, ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to. A polite and professional demeanor is essential when interacting with clients, vendors, and management personnel.

Administrative Support: In addition to cleaning and hospitality duties, the Office Assistant will provide general support to the office team. This includes handling mail, photocopying documents, organizing office supplies, and delivering internal communications or materials between departments. They may also assist with small errands or basic clerical tasks as directed by supervisors to keep office operations running smoothly.

Inventory and Supply Management: The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and replenishing office consumables such as stationery, beverages, cleaning materials, and pantry items. Keeping an accurate record of inventory levels and promptly informing management of restocking needs will ensure uninterrupted workflow within the office. Basic record-keeping and organizational skills will be an advantage for this responsibility.

Workplace Conduct: The role requires maintaining confidentiality, following company policies, and adhering to workplace safety and hygiene standards. The Office Assistant / Office Boy should be trustworthy, flexible, and able to follow instructions effectively. A respectful approach toward all staff members and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision will contribute significantly to success in this position.
