Position Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified Neonatologist Specialist to provide comprehensive care for newborns, particularly those requiring intensive care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, research experience, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized medical care to newborns, including premature babies and those with critical conditions

Diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as prematurity, birth defects, infection, growth restriction, and birth complications

Supervise delivery room care for high-risk deliveries

Manage the NICU and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals

Develop and implement treatment plans for newborns

Communicate effectively with parents and families about their newborn's condition and treatment

Participate in teaching and training of medical staff and residents

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications

Medical degree MD, MBBS, or equivalent

Specialty degree in Neonatology

Minimum 3 years of post-specialty experience in a governmental, semi-governmental, or teaching hospital

Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in Qatar

Strong clinical background in managing complex neonatal cases

Experience in level III/IV NICU settings

Excellent communication skills in English

Research experience and publications in peer-reviewed journals

Preferred Qualifications

Additional subspecialty training or certifications

Experience in a multicultural healthcare environment

Arabic language skills

Teaching experience in academic medical settings

Track record of quality improvement initiatives

Experience with advanced neonatal procedures and technologies
