Multimedia Producer & Trainer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support production of radio broadcasts, short films, social media videos, and other multimedia projects in Lajamanu.

Develop and implement a Community Media Production & Professional Development Plan.

Train, supervise, and manage local part-time and casual community staff in radio broadcasting, video production, editing, and media archiving.

Manage community expectations and communication with representatives from various language groups.

Maintain PAW Media's Lajamanu office and training spaces, and provide basic technical support for the radio studio.

Assist with production budgeting, funding applications, project management, and grant reporting.

Role Requirements:

Considerable travel through Aboriginal Lands.

Potential for weekend/evening work.

National Police Check and OCHRE Card (Working with Children Check).

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Willingness to live remotely and share accommodation when necessary.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working cross-culturally, ideally with Indigenous Australians in remote settings.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve.

Strong technical knowledge in video production, including camera systems, drones, and editing software.

Experience in audio & video production training.

Ability to work independently and in challenging environments.

Valid manual driver’s license and 4WD experience.

Desirable Criteria:

Screen & Media Production qualifications or equivalent experience.

Competency in After Effects, Logic Pro, or Pro Tools.

Experience producing radio stories, documentaries, or online video content.

About PAW Media:

PAW Media is a not-for-profit organization, based in Yuendumu, NT, supporting media production in Indigenous communities. PAW provides media training, employment, and digital literacy programs to Warlpiri and other language groups, promoting Indigenous culture through TV, films, radio, and music production.
