Job Description:

Derby Group of Companies in Dubai is seeking an Assistant with expertise in Motor Underwriting (UW) and Operations to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience specifically in Motor UW within the UAE market. This role involves analyzing insurance proposals and group personal schemes, preparing quotations, and determining premiums in accordance with underwriting guidelines and profitable strategies.

Responsibilities:

Quotation Preparation: Examine insurance proposals and group personal schemes to prepare accurate quotations based on underwriting guidelines and profitability strategies.

Data Analysis: Analyze motor loss ratios, overall Profit & Loss combined ratios, and statistical data to support informed decision-making and process improvements.

Risk Assessment: Collect and maintain detailed documentation of background information to perform comprehensive risk assessments and maintain trackers.

Report Management: Track new and renewal reports, progress reports, and other documents as requested by the line manager.

Policy Preparation: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of certificates, policies, and endorsements in compliance with company policies and guidelines to enhance customer service efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

2-3 years of experience in Motor Underwriting specifically within the UAE.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
