About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Fujairah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and pricing motor insurance risks while ensuring profitable growth of our motor insurance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate insurance applications and assess risk factors for motor insurance policies

Determine appropriate premium rates and coverage terms based on risk assessment

Review and analyze claims history, driving records, and other relevant data

Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines for motor insurance products

Collaborate with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to provide underwriting solutions

Monitor and analyze portfolio performance and market trends

Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE insurance regulations

Prepare detailed reports and presentations on portfolio performance

Contribute to the development of new motor insurance products

Mentor junior underwriters and provide technical guidance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field 

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in UAE's insurance sector

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with PRAKTORA insurance software

In-depth knowledge of UAE motor insurance market and regulations

Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities

Technical Skills

Advanced risk assessment and analysis

Premium calculation and pricing

Policy documentation and processing

Insurance software systems (PRAKTORA)

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Data analysis and reporting
