About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Merchant Settlement Officer to join our client, a leading international Payment Solutions provider in UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing merchant payment processing and handling settlement-related queries with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Execute timely and accurate processing of merchant payments

Handle manual sale and refund transaction processing

Manage pick-up card reward processing and associated fee collection

Issue and process reward cheques according to established procedures

Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Resolve merchant queries and complaints professionally and efficiently

Maintain accurate records of all settlement transactions

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Generate and analyze settlement reports

Identify and escalate any settlement discrepancies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (Accounting or related field preferred)

Previous experience in accounting or banking operations

Strong proficiency in MS Office applications

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Essential Skills

Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and calculations

Knowledge of payment processing systems and banking operations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in payment processing or merchant services

Knowledge of financial regulations in UAE

Previous experience in a similar role within the banking/financial sector

Understanding of payment gateway operations
