Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Transcriptionist with specific expertise in radiology transcription to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting radiology dictations into accurate medical reports while maintaining the highest standards of quality and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Transcribe radiology reports from dictated recordings with high accuracy

Process various types of radiological examinations including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine studies

Ensure proper formatting and use of standard radiology terminology

Edit and proofread transcribed reports for accuracy and completeness

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Meet daily productivity and quality standards

Flag any inconsistencies or unclear dictations for physician review

Maintain organized digital files and records

Submit completed reports in a timely manner

Stay current with medical terminology and radiology procedures

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical transcription, specifically in radiology

Certification in Medical Transcription preferred

Strong knowledge of medical and radiological terminology

Excellent understanding of anatomy and physiology

Proficient in medical transcription software and MS Office

Experience with PACS and RIS systems

Strong English language skills and grammar

Familiarity with UAE healthcare documentation standards

Technical Skills

Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 65 WPM)

Proficiency in transcription equipment and foot pedal

Knowledge of digital dictation systems

Experience with voice recognition software

Ability to use reference materials effectively

Computer literacy and digital file management skills
