Overview:

Doctor Expat is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Patient Relations Coordinator to join our team in Dubai. This role is essential for ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and attention throughout their healthcare journey. The ideal candidate will have substantial international experience, excellent language proficiency, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing their queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans, providing clear and detailed explanations.

Build and maintain strong rapport with patients, ensuring a positive and supportive healthcare experience.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with medical staff, including doctors and nurses, to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient needs and feedback.

Liaise with patients and their families to provide updates on treatment progress and answer any questions they may have.

Facilitate smooth communication between patients and various departments within the healthcare facility.

Multilingual Support:

Communicate effectively with a diverse clientele, utilizing fluency in English and at least one other language (preferably French, Arabic, or Russian).

Translate medical information and patient concerns accurately to ensure clear understanding across different languages.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all interactions and updates are documented promptly and correctly.

Prepare and manage patient schedules, including appointments, follow-ups, and treatments.

Generate and analyze reports on patient satisfaction and feedback, suggesting improvements where necessary.

Cultural Sensitivity:

Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of our patients.

Incorporate an understanding of cultural differences into patient care practices to enhance patient comfort and trust.

Patient-Centered Care:

Advocate for the patient’s needs and preferences, ensuring they are at the forefront of all healthcare decisions.

Develop personalized treatment plans that align with the patient’s individual health goals and circumstances.

Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, helping them navigate the healthcare system.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.

Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in a patient relations or healthcare coordination role, with substantial international experience preferred.

Skills:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluency in English and at least one other language (preferably French, Arabic, or Russian).

Strong organizational and administrative abilities.

Proficiency in using healthcare management software and other relevant tools.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
