About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the GCC region and a strong background in HVAC system design for commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed HVAC system designs for various construction projects

Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry-standard software

Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders

Ensure compliance with local building codes and international standards

Review shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors

Conduct site visits to monitor installation and resolve technical issues

Prepare technical reports and present design solutions to clients

Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in HVAC design in the UAE/GCC region

Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Elite, or similar)

Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards and local building codes

Experience with AutoCAD and BIM software

Excellent technical writing and communication skills

Valid UAE driving license

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with engineering consultancy firms

Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building standards

Professional engineering certification (PE) or relevant certifications

Experience with energy modeling and analysis

Arabic language skills (spoken and written)
