Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive consultancy experience to lead the mechanical systems design for our high-rise residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems, particularly in firefighting, drainage, plumbing, and HVAC design for multi-story buildings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design activities for mid-rise building projects (G+20 to G+30 towers)

Develop comprehensive MEP designs ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards

Create and review technical calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems

Ensure designs meet ASHRAE standards and Dubai Municipality regulations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders

Review and approve shop drawings and technical submittals

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters

Participate in client meetings and design review sessions

Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design packages

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, with significant consultancy background

Proven track record in designing MEP systems for high-rise buildings

Strong knowledge of:

HVAC systems design and calculations

Firefighting systems

Plumbing and drainage systems

ASHRAE standards and guidelines

Dubai Municipality regulations and local building codes

Proficiency in:

AutoCAD

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Revit

MEP calculation software

Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent project management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
